Sakura Cherry Shrimp (mid grade Neocaridina)
The Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) develops a red coloured carapace which may be more prominant on females. This "mid grade" population does produce some solid red shrimps, some back stripes, some mottled, and mostly mid-grade cherries. Pigmentation takes longer to develop than other (Yellow and Bloody Mary) lines, and both males and females exhibit red colour.
These are juvenile shrimp (not adults).
For a high quality dark red colour, check out Blood Mary Neocaridina Cherry Shrimp also available.
These shrimp readily reproduce in the aquarium, however it is not recommended to combine with other neocaridina/ cherry shrimp types as the variants can cross breed. Feed with sinking foods and supplement their diet with leaf litter. The aquarium must be cycled prior to adding shrimp. It is recommended to start with a group of 6-10 shrimp.
Pickup 'n Delivery only (Orleans, Ottawa, Ontario).
LIVESTOCK
All livestock are home-bred from Epp 'n Flow Aquariums, thus quantities fluctuate and have limited availability. It is recommended to temperature and drip acclimate all fish and shrimp for at least 20 minutes before adding to your aquarium.
