The lotus pod is a captivating structure that provides multiple small shelters and another source of beneficial blackwater tannins. Shrimp and plecos adore interacting with with "Stranger Things" pod.
The small pockets on the surface of the flower head formerly held the lotus seeds.
> Preparation:
Aquatic: Boil 15-25 minutes to sink and soften. Use 1 pod/ 10 gallons/ month.
Terrestrial: Boil 15 minutes.
Replace when tannins are reduced or when decomposed.Store in a cool and dry place.
